How to Draw A Cartoon Karate Man in motion
Drawing a cartoon karate man in motion can easily be done using this simple step-by-step lesson. If you already know how to draw a simple cartoon character accurately, you should be able to complete this drawing lesson quite easily. The biggest challenge is to get the posture right. Once you can draw a character with the perfect gesture, 90% of the work is done.

creating a basic template to work with
First, it can be a good idea to create a template made from basic shapes to polish the posture and the proportions. Once this template is competed, drawing the character will be even easier. Let's start by sketching a head using a circular shape. The ear can be done using a small circle.
adding the body and the arms
Next, you can represent the body with two irregular rectangles. Make sure the middle part (near the waist) is narrower. Then, add more rectangles to illustrate the arms and the hands. One arm is up in the air while the other one is sketched near the body. Great work!
Sketching the legs to complete our template
Finally, you can complete this template by drawing more rectangles to represent the legs. One feet can be seen from a side view while the other is shown using a front view. Study the posture below carefully before proceeding with the next step.
Polishing the silhouette of the cartoon karate man
Using long curved lines, you can sketch the silhouette of the character. In this case, I have started with the body, the arms and the legs. The clothing is also important in martial arts. Notice how the area below the waist was created.

It's time to draw the silhouette of the head and the neck. The character is facing the right area of the illustration, so it can be a good idea to sketch an ear on the left side of the head. The chin is pointed and the neck is made from curved lines.
Next, work on the hands using a wide variety of short curved lines. Fingers are visible on the left hand (the one in the air), but more subtle on the right one. You can also draw the feet using irregular lines as shown below. Nice work! This cartoon karate man looks great so far!
drawing eyes and the belt
Inside the head, you can sketch large eyes using simple curved lines. Around the waist, draw the belt using more long curved lines. The top of the uniform can also be sketched using simple lines.
adding details inside the character
It's now time to sketch the pupils using tiny circles. The nose is made from a simple curved line. More subtle lines are drawn on the uniform. A finger is added on the right hand. Finally, toes are created on the front feet. Great job! We are done drawing this awesome character.
playing with simple colors
This cartoon karate man is filled with basic colors. All the visible skin can be filled with a plain color. The uniform is colored in white while the belt can be black. The pupils are blue.
adding some depth and volume using gradients
If you have access to a vector application, then you can add gradients to create more volume. As you can see below, some areas are now darker. Of course, this effect can also be done using any other tools.
